Lincoln and Gilbert was the site of the historic Black Business District located in Walnut Hills. The name of this initiative honors of the past of Black owned businesses that thrived against all odds, builds on the current Black business ecosystem and propels Greater Cincinnati to establish a reputation as the best place for a MBE to start, build, grow and sustain a business.

The AACC, MBA, and ULGSO will cooperatively lead Lincoln and Gilbert. It will do so by leveraging the knowledge and expertise of these economic development organizations: the Greater Cincinnati Microenterprise Initiative (GCMI)| MORTAR | CMBC and Lightship Foundation. We will combine this expertise with procurement support, subject matter experts, and investment to substantially increase the likelihood of an MBE’s success and sustainability.
